Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw organic almonds (soaked for 8-12 hours with ¼ teaspoon salt)
  • 4 cups water
Instructions
  1. Once the almonds are done soaking, discard the soaking liquid.
  2. Take your soaked almonds and place them in a high- speed blender. Add the 4 cups of fresh water. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes until the almonds are ground down. Pour your almond milk into a nut milk bag* over a large bowl. Squeeze the bag so that the milk flows through the bag and into the bowl. The almond pulp should be left inside the bag.
  3. If you are adding any additional ingredients like cinnamon or vanilla, pour the milk back into the blender and add the extra ingredients. Blend until incorporated. Pour your milk into a container with a tight lid and place it in the coldest part of the refrigerator. The milk should last 2 to 3 days.
Notes
*If you do not have a nut milk bag you can use a clean, white T-shirt or layered cheesecloth.
